Judith Siers-Poisson
Judith Siers-Poisson, began as Associate Director for the Center for Media and Democracy in November 2005. With Executive Director John Stauber, Judith manages CMD's staff of ten and coordinates fundraising. She also takes part in program work, including sending out the Weekly Spin (CMD's weekly e-bulletin), editing the PR Watch newsletter, and writing occasional articles, including a four-part series on the Politics and PR of Cervical Cancer. Judith contributed a chapter on the HPV controversy for the 2009 edition of Project Censored. With Senior Researcher Diane Farsetta, she writes and voices CMD's Weekly Radio Spin. Judith holds a Masters degree in Russian Imperial History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2001, she received the Sally Sunde Award for social justice work from Community Shares of Wisconsin. She lives in Madison with her husband and daughter, and is proudly French by marriage, especially when they refuse to go along with American-led wars. |
